Paramedic Scholarship Program
The generous donations of people in our community like you have enabled the Roaring Fork Fire Rescue Authority to establish the Paramedic Scholarship Fund- a program that provides assistance to our firefighters on their journey to becoming paramedics. This important fund supports the costs of student’s tuition, books, travel expenses, and internships. Since 2017, eight Roaring Fork Fire Rescue members have utilized the Scholarship Fund to become paramedics, and three more expect to graduate by the end of the year.
The Valley is expanding exponentially, and Roaring Fork Fire needs more highly trained paramedics to meet the demand. RFFR covers 520 square miles, serving communities in Basalt, Carbondale, El Jebel, Meredith, Thomasville, Old Snowmass and Snowmass Village.
$45,219.92
average cost to send one person to paramedic school
Please know that 100% of your tax-deductible contributions to the Paramedic Scholarship Fund are used for educational purposes for our members. As our Valley continues to grow and our population increases, now more than ever we need your help. Your generosity enables this vital program to continue training our first responders and provide the exceptional emergency assistance our community deserves.
